Some of the more important actions to be taken during the period after someone has died as a pre-cursor to probate.
Chris is a solicitor in the Trusts & Estates team. He assists clients in planning for their futures, including preparing wills, powers of attorney and setting up trusts. He assists clients in planning with their properties, making gifts in a tax effective way and preparing deeds of variation to redirect inherited money. Chris’ focus is on finding solutions to protecting assets including in daunting situations where the family dynamics are complex.
Chris grew up in Cambridgeshire and after studying Philosophy at the University of Liverpool, he completed his GDL and LPC with BPP University. He joined Barr Ellison in September 2017 after two years with the Home Office.
In a previous life, Chris worked as a Systems Engineer in the Science Park.
