Emma is a solicitor working in the Personal Injury & Court of Protection team at Barr Ellison Solicitors.
Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Emma gained experience of personal injury matters and court of protection work at a large regional law firm. Emma’s experience includes a working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the application of its supplementary Codes of Practice. Emma organised and hosted training seminars for social workers, community carers and members of the public to promote an understanding of the MCA 2005.

Emma has a range of legal skills covering Wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate and tax.
Emma has a law degree from the University of Lincoln and achieved a distinction in her Legal Practice Course when she graduated from De Montfort University in 2015. Emma received a prize from Leicestershire Law Society for obtaining the highest grades in elective subjects.
