This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to get involved in delivering IT for a growing Cambridge-based law firm. We are looking for a bright, personable individual to provide first line support to our employees across the business, working alongside our experienced IT Director.
The role is varied and will suit someone with a keen interest in information technology and computing, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems. Excellent communication skills are necessary and previous experience of working within IT is preferred, ideally with an IT-related qualification. You will enjoy creating solutions and work-arounds to incidents and issues as they arise across the firm’s office and remote networks.
You will provide support to the firm’s support staff, lawyers and management, assisting with hardware and software issues. You will, for example, be responsible for configuring and maintaining workstations, installing software and updating as required.
Barr Ellison has recently installed a new client database system and you will be asked to support (following training) delivery of the firm’s case management system, digital dictation as well as team-specific software products which are needed to deliver great client service. In due course, you will provide on site training to new and current staff members and you will maintain the firm’s client database.
You will be a good team player, working closely with our IT Director on a day-to-day basis, logging and delivering on all problems and escalating to our IT Director and external IT support when required.
If you are motivated by getting the best results for your clients and take pride in your work, then please send your curriculum vitae and covering letter to Lynn Roberson, Practice Manager, at Barr Ellison LLP, 39 Parkside, Cambridge CB1 1PN by email.
