Dear Runners and Marshals
As you know the government has stated that emergency services will not support mass participation events and people have been advised to conduct social distancing to prevent | delay the spread of the corona virus. We are of course following these guidelines and therefore must cancel our first run at Thetford Forest on 29th March. At this stage we do not plan to cancel our subsequent events in April and May but will keep you posted if the situation changes.
We are aware that many of you had signed up to take part in the Barr Ellison 10k series whereby you needed to complete all three 10k runs in the series in order to earn yourself a hoodie. To ensure you are not disappointed we intend to open up the Thetford event as a virtual run to give you the opportunity to obtain the first segment of the three-part medal set. So, if you do your Virtual Run on the 29th March which was the date planned for the Thetford 10k and get the evidence to us (a screen shot of your phone, Garmin or equivalent) by email to info@justhappen.co.uk by 3rd April, we will send out the medal to you and use this evidence as a qualifying run when determining who is due a hoodie at our run in May.
Please follow this link to register for the virtual run https://hoohaah.co.uk/our-events/virtual-run/

The 2020 Barr Ellison Hoohaah 10k Series is filling up already. Thank you to all the runners who took part in our 2019 series which raised £8000 for Camsight.
The dynamic duo leading Hoohaah, Alison Cronk and Hannah Hodgson, are hoping to repeat that success in 2020, raising funds for the Arthur Rank Hospice.
In addition Hoohaah will be collecting food donations for the Cambridge City Foodbank again this year at each of Barr Ellison sponsored runs.
The three 10k events in 2020 are as follows:
- the Barr Ellison Thetford 10k on Sunday 29 March
- the Barr Ellison Childerley 10k on Sunday 26 April
- the Barr Ellison Wimpole 10k on Sunday 17 May.
Why not enter for one on the Hoohaah events page? If you enter and complete all three 10k events, you will qualify for a free hoohaah hoodie.
Previous beneficiaries of Hoohaah fundraising were Headway Cambridgeshire, the Mind-Ed Trust, the local branch of the NPSCC and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
Why not keep fit and help a fantastic local charity to boot! The video below from a previous year gives a great flavour of the Hoohaah events.
The organisers are Hoohaah which was formed to provide quality events to support charities by Hannah Hodgson and Alison Cronk, arising from their shared interests in running and events management.
